How to engage super competitive, attention challenged sales people? With a Trainiac Board Game.
Over time, the tried and tested can become the tired and tested. It happens to people, concepts and training.
The fundamentals of a skill-set may hardly change year after year. Substantial investment may have been made in a robust training approach. The system works. Staff benefit. So do customers and the organization. Then things get stale. Does an organization invest in something new? Or can the original investment be made to work harder and longer by using a pick-me-up for tired training? Don’t start afresh, refresh!
Bradlows and Trainiac showed how by bringing picture-rich fun and games to the retail group’s well established training course, Super Charged Selling.
Trainiac based its innovative instructional design solution on course material that had been trained and re-trained. A new Super Charged Selling kit was developed featuring a board game so trainees could have fun applying their new knowledge. Trainac re-engineered theoretical course elements into a series of experiential exercises involving activities with a card deck such as sorting and sequencing, right-and-wrong scenario selection, role-play and what-if creative questioning. Trainiac passed on tips and tricks to the Bradlows/Supreme trainers so they could adapt the programme to their personal style all part of Trainiac’s smart implementation service.
The tailor-made makeover enables a continual training top-up long after the first burst of intensive training is over. Learning-by-playing was structured so game sessions could take place close to work where selling principles could be instantly applied; i.e. in the hour before shop opening.
Board game competitiveness exploits the psychographics of sales winners, while repeat sessions support message reinforcement without monotony.
