Case Study 01
Building Operational Capability for Frontline Roles
The Challenge
A large retail organisation needed to move its foundational training programme beyond compliance and basic system knowledge into genuine operational capability. New employees completed required training but weren't operationally ready when deployed to frontline roles. The challenge was designing a scaled solution that would develop real skills whilst accommodating the logistical complexity of training geographically dispersed teams.
Our Approach
We developed a blended programme that combined online learning, facilitated workshops, and on-the-job coaching. The approach recognised that operational skills require both knowledge and deliberate practice under supervision. Workshops integrated real scenarios and tools, whilst comprehensive facilitator guides ensured consistency across locations. The programme was structured as a clear capability progression with defined proficiency levels.
